About Tehuacán
Tehuacán is a city in central Mexico, southeast of Mexico City. The baroque Tehuacán Cathedral overlooks leafy Juárez Park. In the 18th-century Ex-Convento del Carmen, the Tehuacán Valley Museum has exhibits on maize and pre-Hispanic tools. Southeast of the city, the ruins of Tehuacán Viejo include ancient temples and dwellings. The Site Museum has ceramics and basalt sculptures found at the archaeological site.
