About That's Right—You're Wrong
Recruited by big-time Hollywood producer Stacey Delmore (Adolphe Menjou) to provide a down-to-earth quality in movies seen as too slick, North Carolina bandleader Kay Kyser (Kay Kyser) reluctantly signs a film contract. Upon arriving in California, members of the band "go Hollywood," while Kyser clashes with studio writers about his image. Hoping to demonstrate the ludicrousness of the suggested roles, Kyser adopts a Latin lover persona -- only to have the band believe he's gone crazy.
