Four slacker G. I. 's -- boxer Mike O'Halloran (Steve Brodie), interior decorator Eddie Hoff (Johnny Sands), cab driver Ollie Bonelli (Richard Erdman) and ex-employment counselor Jimmy Stevens (Edmond O'Brien) -- return from World War II and avoid jobs in order to stay on the dole.
