New York land baron Alfredo Martino (Eduardo Ciannelli) has started burning down his own buildings and cashing in on the insurance, but he needs a fall guy. He finds the perfect target in Gabe Ryan (Frankie Thomas), a nice kid with a troubled past and a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
