Queen holds first in-person meeting after illness
The Queen has held her first in-person engagement since falling ill with Covid, meeting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Windsor Castle .
The 95-year-old was pictured smiling warmly at Mr Trudeau as he held her right hand in both of his.
Mr Trudeau is visiting the UK for talks on The War in Ukraine with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte .
The Queen was not seen using a walking stick, as she has been recently.
The monarch, who is also Queen of Canada, tested positive for Covid on 20 February and carried out only " light duties" since then, cancelling several events.
She carried out her first virtual engagements on 1 March before Monday's face-to-face meeting.
During The Audience at Windsor Castle 's Oak Room , Mr Trudeau was also pictured laughing as The Queen gestured towards herself.
A Buckingham Palace source indicated that The Blue and yellow flowers in The Room - the colours of Ukraine's Flag - were a symbolic gesture of support for the country as it battles a Russian invasion.
The Queen previously made a donation to The Disasters Emergency Committee appeal to help people fleeing The Conflict in Ukraine.
She has two high-profile events scheduled in The Coming weeks: The Commonwealth Service on 14 March and The Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service on 29 March, both at Westminster Abbey .
Last month, she became The Nation 's longest reigning monarch, reaching her Platinum Jubilee milestone after 70 years on The Throne .
