The Extra Day

After a mishap on a movie set forces the production to re-film the ending, assistant director Joe Blake (Richard Basehart) must contact the same group of extras present for the original filming. Blake wrangles the extras back to the set, and all of them -- a struggling painter (George Baker), a boxer (Sidney James), a rich girl (Josephine Griffin) and others -- have to deal with their own particular daily responsibilities and angst while doing their job for the camera.
