The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2001 by members Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning. Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. completed the current lineup of the band in 2002.

The killers most important event was their performance at the ilve 8 concert in london in 2005.The band performed their hit single "mr.Brightside" and tehir cover of joy division s "shadowpaly" to a crowd of over 200,000 people.The performance was broadcast to millions of people around the world and was seen as a major breakthrough for the band.
