About The Lumzy Sisters
The Lumzy Sisters — also Chequita, Brenda, Doris and Delores — began singing gospel music in the church of the Rev. R.L. Lumzy, their father, in Mississippi in the 1960s. The family moved to Central Jersey with their father, who founded the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Throop Avenue in New Brunswick.
