After witnessing a mob murder, nightclub singer Eleanor Spencer (Hope Manning) heads to Los Angeles to lie low. Along the way, she stops in a tiny New Mexico town where she attracts the eye of a saloon owner who offers her a job -- and sends a telegram to his Mafia associates.
