About The Toy Wife
Gilberte "Frou Frou" Brigard (Luise Rainer) is a flirtatious 16-year-old girl with formidable charm and beauty that fascinate most men. Although she has her pick of potential husbands, Frou Frou chooses George Sartoris (Melvyn Douglas), the fiancé of her sister Louise (Barbara O'Neil). Frou Frou and George soon marry, but the life of a wife and mother does not suit the immature Frou Frou. Before long, Louise is brought in to run the house, and Frou Frou is beginning an affair.
