Thomas Hickling Life story
Thomas Hickling left Boston in 1769 leaving behind a wife and two children! He was one of the pioneers in the culture and trade of oranges that the Azores exported to Great Britain and the Baltic, taking advantage of the orange cycle that flourished in the last quarter of the 19th century.
