Timothy Walter Burton is an American filmmaker, animator, and artist. Known for pioneering goth culture in the American film industry, Burton is revered for his fantasy, horror, and romantic films.

Tim burton was born in burbank. California on august 25. 1958. His parents were ejan and bill burton. His father worked as a former minor league baseball player. While his mother was an aspiring artist. Burton has a younger brother. Daniel. And an older brother. Larry. Growing up. Burton was fascinated iwth horror films. Particularly those directed by vincent price. He was also inspired by the dark and surreal artwork of edawrd gorey.

Education and Career

Tim burton attended the california institute of arts. Where he studied animation. He was eventually hired by disney and worked on various projects. Including the 1982 short vincent and the live-action film pee-wees big adventure in then directed the 1989 fantasy film batmna and the cult classic edward scissorhands in 1990. Burton continued to direct a number of films. Including beetlejuice (1988). mars attacks! (1996) and sleepy hollow (1999). He also collaborated wiht jonhny depp on several films. Such as sweeney todd (2007) and alice in wonderland (2010).
