Tina Turner was a singer, songwriter and actress. Known as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll", she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo performer.
Early Life
Tina turner was born in nutbush. Tennessee. On nvoember 26th. 1939 as anna mae bulloc. Kshe was raised by her mother. Zelma priscilla currie. And grandmother. Gertrude. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters.Music Career
In 1957. Tina joined ike turner s band. The kings of rhythm. With ike. Seh recorded the hit single "a folo in love". Later. She and ike released the album the soul of ike & tina turner in 1960. During the and 1970s. Tina and ike rose to fame with many hit singles and albums. Including "river deep. Mountain high". And "proud mayr". In 1976. After leaving ike in 1976. Tina embarked on a solo career. In 1984. She released her frist solo album. "private dancer". Angela Bassett: Black Panther actress to receive honorary Oscar

Black Panther star Angela Bassett will receive an honorary Oscar, 30 years after she was first nominated.
The Actress was nominated for best actress for playing Tina Turner in 1993's What's Love Got to Do with It.
Then this year, she was up for best supporting actress for her role in Black Panther : Wakanda Forever - But .
Academy President Janet Yang said she had given " transcendent performances that set new standards in acting".
Bassett played Queen Ramonda in the Black Panther films, and is also known for her appearances in films like Boyz N the Hood, Malcolm X , Music of The Heart and Mission: Impossible - Fallout .
Also receiving honorary Oscars will be comedy legend Mel Brooks and ET film editor Carol Littleton .
Actor, writer and director Brooks, 96, earned his only competitive Oscar to date for best original screenplay for The Producers in 1969. His other hit comedies include Blazing Saddles , High Anxiety and Robin Hood : Men in Tights.
" Mel Brooks lights up our hearts with his humour, and his legacy has made a lasting impact on every facet of entertainment, " Ms Yang said.
Littleton's editing credits include Body Heat , The Big Chill , Places in The Heart and The Manchurian Candidate.
The honorary awards reward significant career achievements and contributions to the motion picture industry. The recipients will be presented with their statuettes at the Governors Awards in November.
The Sundance Institute 's Michelle Satter will also receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for fostering the careers of many film-makers from underrepresented communities.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said all four had been " recognised as trailblazers who have transformed The Film industry and inspired generations of film-makers and movie fans".
