About Toyooka
Toyooka is a city on Japan's north coast. It's known for the rock formations of San'in Kaigan Geopark, including Genbudo Cave, a series of basalt caverns. The wetlands of Konotorinosato Park are home to Oriental white storks. South, Izushi is an Edo-era town with castle ruins and a stone stairway lined with red torii gates. To the north are the hot springs of Kinosaki Onsen and Takeno Beach, facing the Sea of Japan.
