Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization is a minimally invasive procedure performed in interventional radiology to restrict a tumor's blood supply. Small embolic particles coated with chemotherapeutic drugs are injected selectively through a catheter into an artery directly supplying the tumor.
