USS Emmons was a Gleaves-class destroyer of the United States Navy, named for Rear Admiral George F. Emmons. Emmons was launched 23 August 1941 by Bath Iron Works Corp. , Bath, Maine, sponsored by Mrs. F. E. Peacock, granddaughter of Rear Admiral Emmons.
