About USS Maloy
USS Maloy, a Buckley-class destroyer escort, was the first and only ship of the United States Navy to be named for Thomas Joel Maloy, who served aboard USS Atlanta during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. He was awarded the Navy Cross for his heroism during the Guadalcanal campaign.
