About USS Matagorda
USS Matagorda was a United States Navy Barnegat-class seaplane tender in commission from 1941 to 1946 that saw service in World War II. After the war, she was in commission in the United States Coast Guard as the cutter USCGC Matagorda, later WHEC-373, from 1949 to 1967.
