USS Wadsworth (DD-516), a Fletcher-class destroyer, was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for Commodore Alexander S. Wadsworth. The ship was commissioned in 1943 during World War II. After seeing extensive action during the war, the ship was placed in reserve following it.
