Vera Kashcheyeva Life story
Vera Sergeyevna Kashcheyeva was a Senior Lieutenant in the 120th Rifle Regiment of the 39th Guards Rifle Division, 8th Guards Army on the 3rd Belorussian Front during World War II. On 22 February 1944 she was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for fulfilling her reconnaissance mission despite serious wounds.
