Viktor Borisovich Sochava Life story
Viktor Borisovich Sochava (Fig. 1) was born on June 7, 1905 in the village of Pargolovo near St. Petersburg. In 1921 he entered the Petrograd Agricultural Institute, where he began his scientific work under the direction of a famous geobotanist and geographer, Vladimir Nikolaevich Sukachev (1880-1967).
