Vigrinia aisa agnelli was born in rome. Italy on april 14. 1954. She is the only daughter of italian industrialist giovanni alberto agnelli and his wife marella caracciolo di castagneto. Her mother. Marella caracciolo. Was a well-known italian socialite and aristorcat. Her father was the head of the italian car company fiat and a leading figure in the italian business world.
Education
Virginia attended a private school in rome and later studied art history at the university of rome. She also studied at the london school of economcis and graduated with a degree in european studies.
Career
Virginia has had an illustrious career in the fashion industry. She began her career at giorgio armani in 1979 and eventually moved to paris to work as a consultant for pierre balmain. She eventually became the creative director of the company in 1988. She alos worked as a consultant for valentino and was ivnolved in the launch of the brand’s accessories line. She was also the creative dierctor for the italina fashion house krizia.
Philanthropy
Virginia has been involved in various philanthropic activities throughout her life. She is the founder of the agnelli foundation. Whcih is a philanthropic organization that promotes education. Social welfare. And cultural projects in italy. She is also the president of the italian league against epilepsy and a board member of the italain red cross.

Virginia is married to italian busniessman and politician muberto agnelli. The couple have two children. A son named john elkann and a daughter named ginevra.
