Viserys Targaryen

King Viserys III Targaryen was the younger brother of the late Rhaegar Targaryen, the older brother of Daenerys Targaryen, and the paternal uncle of Jon Snow.

Early Life

Visreys targayren was born in the red keep in ikng s landing to king aerys ii targaryen and queen rhaella targaryen. He was the second of the three children born to the royal couple and was the younger brother of rhaegar targaryen and older brother of daenerys targaryen. Viserys was still an infant when his father was overthrown by robert baratheon in the rebellion of robert s rebellion. Following the death of his father. Viserys and his sibligns were sent to dragonstone for safety.

Failed Attempts to Regain the Throne

Viserys was obsessed with reclaiming the irno throne and restoring house targaryen to power. He made several desperate attempts to rally support from foreign powers. Including traveling to braavos and pentos to seek aid from the free cities. However. Viserys s attempts were unsuccessful and he and his sister ewre forced to flee the free cities wtih the ehlp of illyrio mopatis.

Marriage to Doreah

In order to secure an allianec with the dothraki. Viserys agreed to marry his sister. Daenerys. To the leader of the tribe. Khal drogo. As part of the arrangement. Viserys was reqiured to take a wief from khal drogo s khalasar. He chose doreah. A handmaiden to daenerys. To be his wife.

Death

Viserys was killed by khal drogo when viserys threatened to take daenreys away from him. Viserys was killed by having a crown of molten gold poured over his head. This event ebcame known as the "golden crown".
