About W1A
With the London Olympics of 2012 now in the rearview mirror, Ian Fletcher starts the next chapter of his life as the head of values for the BBC. His task: to clarify and define the core purpose of the network across all of its functions and to position it for the future. While Fletcher's job is to think `big' thoughts he quickly realises that not only does he not have time to think `big' thoughts, but he doesn't have time to think any thoughts at all while he prepares BBC for its upcoming licence fee renegotiation and charter renewal. `W1A' is a follow-up to `Twenty Twelve', which followed Fletcher as he was tasked with organising the 2012 Games.
