About Whistling In Brooklyn
A murderer, dubbed the "Constant Reader" for sending notes to the police with exact locations and descriptions of victims, eludes Inspector Holcomb (Henry O'Neill). On a radio program called "The Fox," hosted by Wally Benton (Red Skelton), Holcomb hears Wally describe a letter that sounds similar to those from the Constant Reader. Wally, who is about to marry co-star Carol Lambert (Ann Rutherford), is then pursued by the police and determined cub reporter Jean Pringle (Jean Rogers).
