William R. Munroe Life story
William Robert Munroe was a vice admiral in the United States Navy. On 1 October 1941, then-Rear Admiral Munroe was the commanding officer of Battleship Division Three in the United States Atlantic Fleet. He was the commandant of the Third Naval District from 31 March 1944 to 6 November 1944.
