Williams Carter Wickham Life story
Williams Carter Wickham was a Virginia lawyer, plantation owner and politician. At the Virginia Secession Convention of 1861, Wickham voted against secession, yet when fellow delegates and voters approved secession, he became an important Confederate cavalry general.
