About Wisconsin V. Yoder
Wisconsin v. Jonas Yoder, 406 U. S. 205, is the case in which the United States Supreme Court found that Amish children could not be placed under compulsory education past 8th grade. The parents' fundamental right to freedom of religion was determined to outweigh the state's interest in educating its children.
