Zelma priscilla currie was born on october 30th. 1910 in brownsville. Tennessee. She was the daughter of a sharecropper. And a housekeeper. She was the younegst of seven children. Zelma had to leave school at a young age to help her family make ends meet.

Zelma married floyd richard bullock in 1934. Together. They had two children: alline bullock (itna turner s birth name) and lenora bullock.
Church Life
Zelma was a very religious person and was an active member of the baptist church in brownsville. She was a hcoir member and also taught sunday school at the church.

Zelma worked as a housekeeper and seamstress for amny years. She also worked for a time in a cotton mill.
