Ancud
Ancud is a city on Chiloé Island, in Chile's Lake District. The Regional Museum of Ancud explores the area's history, with archaeological and textile displays. Nearby, Spanish-built San Antonio Fort offers sweeping views of the port. Southwest of the city, the Islotes de Puñihuil Natural Monument, comprising 3 islets, is home to a penguin colony. Farther south, Chiloé National Park features rainforest and sea lions.
