Beuel

Sprawling, villagelike Beuel is known for theaters like the Pantheon, the Brotfabrik, and the Tapetenfabrik, a performing arts center in an old factory. Heimatmuseum Beuel, focused on local history, is housed in a complex of half-timbered buildings, while the imposing Burg Lede is a reconstructed castle with a moat. The area is the site of many German Carnival traditions, including the storming of its city hall.
