Donaustadt

Donaustadt, the 22nd District, is a residential area and a popular hub for outdoor recreation. Picnicking families and cyclists converge on the long, narrow Danube Island, and the calm waters of the Old Danube draw swimmers and sailors. The Lobau, a wetland reserve, is laced with hiking trails. Two towers – the ultramodern DC Tower, near UN headquarters in Donau City, and the Danube Tower – offer panoramic views.
