Written and directed by Cathy Verney, the six-part series `Hard' tells the story of the life changes middle-class Catholic housewife Sophie reluctantly undergoes after her husband suddenly passes away. Sophie comes to realize that her husband wasn't working in the computer field; he had, in fact, remortgaged their house against his own X-rated film company and was financing their affluent lifestyle with the profit from his porn movies.
