Hildesheim

Hildesheim

Hildesheim is a city in northern Germany. It's known for its historic churches, such as St. Michael's, an 11th-century abbey with a painted wooden ceiling. Sacred relics are on display at the Dommuseum within St. Mary's Cathedral. The City Museum offers local history exhibits in the Knochenhauer-Amtshaus, an ornate half-timbered house on Market Square. Wildgatter animal park is home to deer and rescued birds of prey.
