Hitoyoshi
Hitoyoshi is a Japanese city on the island of Kyushu. Stone walls remain from 12th-century Hitoyoshi Castle, which now has a history museum on site. Aoi Aso Shrine's pavilions date back to the 17th century. Public baths and hot-spring resorts lie along the Kuma River, where boat rides are popular. Traditional shops line Kajiyamachi Avenue. To the northwest, Kyusendo is a limestone cave with a large bat population.
