Kirishima
Kirishima is a city on Japan's Kyushu Island. It's known for nearby hot-spring resorts like Ebino Kogen and Kirishima Onsen, both surrounded by the Kirishima Mountains. In Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, Mount Karakuni and Mount Takachiho offer trails through volcanic landscapes. Reconstructed in 1715, Kirishima Shrine sits in a forest. The Uenohara archaeological site has Jōmon-era artifacts and pit dwellings.
