Kirkstall

The leafy residential area of Kirkstall is known for Kirkstall Abbey, the well-preserved ruins of a 12th-century Cistercian monastery, including a cloister and church. Opposite, family-friendly Abbey House Museum recreates local Victorian life with homes, shops, and a pub. Wildflower meadows and wetlands fill Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve beside the River Aire, and Beckett Park has 200-year-old trees.
