Montcalm
Known as the city's arts district, Montcalm is a lively residential area with galleries, theaters, and the Musée National des Beaux-arts du Québec. Pubs, French and global eateries, and boutiques dot the area, especially along the main street of avenue Cartier. The site of a 1759 battle, nearby sprawling Plaines d'Abraham park offers views of the St. Lawrence River from grassy lawns and holds festivals and concerts.
