Rio das Ostras
Rio das Ostras is a city in southeast Brazil. It's known for sandy beaches like Costa Azul, with its long pier. By Baleia Beach, Praça da Baleia square has a large, metal whale sculpture. The rocky headlands of Costões Rochosos stretch south to Joana Beach. Iriry Lake is famed for its dark brown, iodine-rich water. Prehistoric bones, shells and tools are on display at the Archaeological Museum of Sambaqui Tarioba.
