Sanlúcar de Barrameda is a city in southern Spain. It's known for its sherry cellars and waterfront horse races. Beaches like Bajo de Guía stretch along the Guadalquivir River. The 1600s Convento Descalzas has a baroque altarpiece and sacred art. Santiago Castle dates from 1477. La Merced Auditorium, a proto-baroque structure, hosts concerts. North, Doñana National Park has marshes, lakes, dunes and rich birdlife.
