Serra Negra

Serra Negra is a city in southeastern Brazil. The Teleférico Serra Negra chairlift runs from central Praça João Pessoa square to the Pico de Fonseca lookout, with a large Christ the Redeemer statue and panoramic views. The light-blue Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church dates from 1903 and has religious murals. To the southeast, in the Mantiqueira mountains, Alto da Serra is a popular launch spot for paragliders.
