Tarma

Tarma is a city in the Andes mountains of central Peru. The neoclassical Cathedral of Santa Ana de Tarma sits on the central square, Plaza de Armas. North of the city, the Lord of Muruhuay Sanctuary is a hillside church containing a sacred image of Christ. Northwest is the colossal, stalactite-filled Huagapo Grotto. Tarmatambo, south of the city, is a former Inca administrative center with mud and stone ruins.
