Tonekabon is a city in the Central District of Tonekabon County, Mazandaran province, Iran, and serves as both capital of the county and of the district. The languages of Tonekabon are Mazandarani and Gilaki. At the 2006 National Census, its population was 43,128 in 13,087 households.
