Gard

Gard

Gard is a department in southern France. It's known for the famed Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct on the Gardon River. The city of Nîmes is home to well-preserved Roman structures including the Arena of Nîmes and Maison Carrée temple. Uzès offers an arcaded town square and a lively produce market. Alès is a gateway to Cévennes National Park, where Mont Aigoual has an observatory with views of the Mediterranean Sea.
