Aveyron

Aveyron is a department in southern France. In Conques, the Romanesque Abbey Church of St. Foy is a centuries-old pilgrimage stop. To the south, the riverside town of Belcastel is known for its medieval castle. In Rodez, the Fenaille Museum displays prehistoric standing stones, and the Soulages Museum shows works by French painter Pierre Soulages.
