Kyiv Oblast

Kiev Oblast is a province in north-central Ukraine, surrounding the capital city of Kiev but not including it. The Alexandria Dendrological park in the city of Bila Tserkva dates to the 18th century. The Museum of Folk Architecture and Household Traditions in Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi includes traditional houses and churches. In the north is the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, abandoned site of the 1986 nuclear disaster.
