Långholmen

Calm, pastoral Långholmen is known for Långholmsbadet, a sandy beach that fills with loungers and bathers in summer. Cycling and walking trails wind through woodlands and gardens, and past the prison building for which the island was once known. The wooden, 17th-century Stora Henriksvik house includes a cafe and a small museum where portraits and text commemorate poet-musician Carl Michael Bellman.
