Melgar

Melgar is a resort town southwest of Bogotá, in central Colombia. It lies beside the white-water Sumapaz River, and is known as a base for adventure sports. East of town, La Cajita Gorge has natural pools. El Tablazo hill is a launch site for paragliders with valley views. Ecological park Reptile City is home to alligators and turtles. To the west, Piscilago water park has pools, flumes and a small zoo.
