Wörlitz is known for the Gartenreich Dessau Wörlitz, a huge grouping of country houses, 18th-century castles, landscaped parks, and English-style gardens. These include the neoclassical Schloss Wörlitz, and the ornate Gothic House, home to a collection of paintings. Nearby, the yellow baroque Oranienbaum Palace has elegant grounds encompassing an orangery, a teahouse, and a Chinese pagoda.
