Sandymount
Seaside residential suburb Sandymount is known for its long, breezy beach at Sandymount Strand, overlooked by a 19th-century Martello tower built for coastal defence. It's a popular spot for fishing, kayaking, and weekend walks with views across Dublin Bay, also drawing crowds for summer swims in the Irish Sea. Inland, the village has upscale boutiques, delis, and gastropubs serving local oysters and mussels.
